A Pulmonaut is someone who focuses their awareness by establishing an acute connection with their own breath, observing the intricate dance between conscious and unconscious internal processes.
Pulmonauts utilize a variety of breathwork and meditation techniques to design their own iteration of “Pulmonautika” to suit their particular life style and objectives.
Whether you’re looking to enhance your health and wellbeing, increase focus and stamina, or explore the depths of your unconscious mind – Pulmonauts are encouraged to experiment with ‘what works’ and to maximize the optimal expression of their full potential.
The road of self discovery is the single most important journey any human being can take and while sometimes we are forced to face our inner demons, these experiences can help to accelerate growth and break through the self-imposed limitations in our lives.
Pulmonautika was birthed in response to the global pandemic as a means for ‘connecting people’ through the breath. The concept was simple, “Would it be possible to create a real moment of connection with people scattered throughout the world by using the breath as a transpersonal bridge?”
The first attempts were succesfully conducted by hosting Facebook Watch Parties, where people from all over the world joined to breathe in unison for ten-minutes. This provided a sense of closeness and significant anxiety reduction due to particular breathing exercises. Since then, as more people began joining from around the globe, the concept evolved from “The Together Breath” as it was first called, into what we call it today…
