The Divine Breath was inspired by Mark Divine’s modified Box Breathing exercise, which was then merged with a Mantra inspired by Ram Das, “I am loving awareness”.
The wonderful blend of these two elements backed by a beautiful soundscape allows you to connect to a deep, spiritual state.
The Divine Breath lasts for a little over 20 minutes and will have different lengths in each breathwork section. Below you can see each breath dynamic;
- 3-6-6-3 – The 1st round of breathing begins with a 3-second inhalation, followed by a 6-second pause, then an 6-second exhalation and a 3-second pause.
- 4-8-8-4 – The 2nd round of breathing begins with a 4-second inhalation, followed by a 8-second pause, then an 8-second exhalation and a 4-second pause.
- 5-10-10-5 – The 3rd round of breathing begins with a 5-second inhalation, followed by a 10-second pause, then a 10-second exhalation and a 5-second pause.
- 4-8-8-4 – The 4th round of breathing returns to a 4-second inhalation, followed by a 8-second pause, then an 8-second exhalation and a 4-second pause.
*The 3rd Round can feel challenging due to dropping the breath rate to 2-Breaths/Minute. If you need to breathe at any time, listen to your body
